Delphine studied graphic design and illustration at Wimbledon School of Art and Bath Spa University before progressing to a garden design course at KLC School of Design, where she graduated top of her year as well as winning the Gardens Illustrated award for planting design and the London Stone Award for construction.
She grew up experiencing a variety of rural environments and has a strong sense of place and a keen understanding of the diversity of local landscapes. This was further developed by extensive travels, including a gap year spent travelling in South-east Asia and the South Pacific.
After graduation, she worked in London as a freelance photographer and illustrator, taking much inspiration from the natural world. She gained practical experience working in several gardens including Loseley House near Guildford and joined Marcus Barnett in 2014.
